Almost every material thing we offer our guests comes from items donated by our community.

Our current top priorities are:  coffee, tea, sugar packets, non-dairy creamer, toothbrushes, sample-sized toothpaste, pillows, laundry pods.

Do you have supplies, household goods, or even a vehicle that our guests might use to make their new house a home? You can do a drive at your work, your school or your home to collect essential items and household goods.  We accept these items

To make a guest who is moving into a new home feel really special, some individuals or groups compile Welcome Home Baskets, filled with the essential items that anyone could use during a first night in a new home.  Top it off with a note of encouragement and let the person know you hope they have a happy day.

The gift of yourself and your time means so much.  Volunteering one or more 3-hour shifts per week at the front desk or the help center helps our guests build relationships with compassionate and caring people, helps our staff accomplish their daily tasks, and reduces our operating costs.

If you would like to volunteer, email volunteer@nlhhc.org, or call 860-439-1573 ext 321.
